QUALITY CLASSIFICATION

Based on EC Block Exemption Regulation 461/2010 (GVO)

Polcar holds its own and unique solution in Europe of quality designations of the products, in accordance with the Uniform System of Information about the Quality of the Component.

  • O – genuine part OE1 marked with logo – trademark of the manufacturer of vehicles.
  • Q - original part OEM/OES2 marked with logo – trademark of the manufacturer of the component that supplies given component for the assembly of vehicles.
  • PC - replacement body part or lighting element of quality matching the quality of the components used for the assembly of vehicles. These body parts or lighting elements have an additional certificate of quality issued by one of the following institutions: Centro Zaragoza, Thatcham or TÜV Rheinland.
  • PJ/PJB - replacement part of quality matching the quality of the components used in the assembly of vehicles. The PJ and PJB parts are especially recommended by supplier (distributor). The quality of the PJB part is additionally guaranteed by the supplier identified in catalogue.
  • P - replacement part of quality matching the quality of the components used for the assembly of vehicles.
  • ZJ - aftermarket part of the highest quality. Non-original part but distinguished with high quality.
  • Z - remaining aftermarket parts.

Parts of ZJ and Z quality can be produced using different materials and production technology than used for the manufacturing of the original parts.

Q genuine component OE/OEM or OES, marked with logo-trademark of the manufacturer of the component that supplies given component for the assembly of vehicles.  
PJ technology and materials, used in the production process, are compatible with OE technology, or better. Thermal efficiency NOT lower than OE/OEM or OES product. Alternative products group 1
compatible with OE (recommended by Polcar)
P technology and materials, used in the production process, are compatible with OE technology, or better. Thermal efficiency may be lower than OE/OEM or OES product.
ZJ equivalent component which can be produced in a different technology from that of an OE product. Thermal efficiency may be lower than an OE/OEM or OES product. Alternative products group 2
incompatible with OE:
Z other equivalent components.

Production technologies

  • A/A brazed - full aluminum brazed radiator
  • A/P brazed - aluminum brazed core/plastic tanks
  • A/P mech. - aluminum mechanically assembled core/plastic tanks

Condensers

Identification of products figure 8th in Polcar Number:

  • X - original condenser of Behr, Valeo, Delphi, Visteon, Denso, Halla, Doowon etc.,
  • K - condenser of KOYO.

Identification of products figure 7th in Polcar Number:

  • A - replacement condenser of serpentine technology with round pipes,
  • B - replacement condenser of serpentine technology with flat pipes,
  • C - replacement condenser of parallel flow technology.

Material:

Mostly: A/A brazed - aluminum soldered technology.

Older types: C/B - copper soldered with brass.

Radiator fans, motors, shrouds

Configuration:

  • W - fan wheel,
  • S - fan motor,
  • T - shroud or fan support,
  • W+S - fan wheel with motor,
  • W+S+T - fan with motor and shroud,
  • 2x(W+S)+T - fan with motor and shroud (double).

Comments

  1. If the description of a part doesn’t show any application details it means that this part can be fitted to the standard (basic) version of vehicle.

  3. Mirrors and lighting products without European homologation (ECE) are not allowed for use in road traffic of EC countries.
  4. For car lighting it is necessary to use bulbs of the same parameters as those applied by the car manufacturer or lamp manufacturer. Using bulbs of higher power for example 100W may result in the damage of the lamp and in loss of warranty.
